HUNTER POE OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Midland, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Tuesday, February 24 through Sunday, March 1. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 4

Poe pitched a complete game in a win against St. Thomas (Tex.) with a career-high 13 strikeouts. Poe allowed just five hits and an earned run in his third complete game of his career. The senior's 13 strikeouts are the most by an SCAC pitcher so far this season. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Blake Skipworth of Austin College had an outstanding game to help the 'Roos to a 16-3 win over Ozarks, going the distance in a run-shortened game. Skipworth struck out seven batters and scattered five hits in 7.0 innings, allowing three runs, only one earned, with a 0.86 WHIP. Sophomore Coen Laroux of Centenary came on in relief for the Diamond Gents in game one of their DH on Saturday, a 7-3 win against Concordia, and picked up his first victory of the season. Laroux blanked the Tornados on three hits with one walk and a career-high eight strikeouts against the 17 batters he faced. Sophomore Liam Mosely of Dallas was dominant in a complete-game victory that sparked a conference weekend sweep, tossing 9.0 innings with a 1.00 ERA while allowing just four hits and one run. With 10 strikeouts, only one walk, a .133 opponent batting average, and a stellar 0.56 WHIP, he controlled the game from start to finish and delivered a true ace performance. Senior Braxton Waller of Hendrix picked up three saves in Hendrix's four-game series win over the University of the Redlands over the weekend. After the Warriors dropped the first game of the set, the senior closer shut the door in Games 2-4, tossing a combined 3.0 shutout innings without allowing a hit while striking out three hitters. The three saves takes Waller up to five on the year which is atop the SCAC. Junior Camden Miller of LeTourneau made two relief appearances going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in three innings. He notched the win in game one of the series vs. Texas Lutheran by going the final two innings and striking out two, while not allowing a hit or a walk. He tossed one inning in the series finale and allowed one unearned run on one hit with one strikeout. Senior Jeter Fulbright of Ozarks (Ark.) tossed four innings in relief and struck out four to pick up a win against Austin College, allowing just one hit in his SCAC outing. Sophomore Armando Rocha of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered a strong conference start on the mound, tossing 7.0 innings while allowing just one earned run on five hits for a 1.29 ERA. He struck out five and issued only two walks, holding opponents to a .208 batting average. Rocha did not allow an extra-base hit. Senior Triston McGowan of Texas Lutheran pitched a complete game in a win against LeTourneau allowing three runs on four hits with a pair of walks. McGowan posted one strikeout in the 6-3 win.
