Chadwick, Mackel Selected to WBCA DIII Collegiate All-Star Game

ATLANTA, Ga. -- A pair of SCAC women's basketball student-athletes have been selected for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) 2026 Women's Collegiate All-Star Team. Helena Chadwick of McMurry and Kayla Mackel of Colorado College will be members of Team Shibles for the WBCA All-Star Game. 

The game will take place Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. ET at the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. The all-starts were chosen by a committee composed of head women's basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, all of whom are members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches. 

The 20 all-stars are divided into two 10-member teams for the game. Anne Crutchfield, former head coach of Emory & Henry University in Emory, Virginia, and Adrienne Shibles, former head coach of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, will coach the teams.

Both Chadwick and Mackel earned All-SCAC First Team honors this season as well as D3hoops.com All-Region honors.
