Backed by a four-hit performance from Kaden Buske, the War Hawks struck early and often, scoring multiple runs through each of the first four innings. McMurry led wire-to-wire, and starting pitcher Hunter Poe twirled 132 pitches across 6.2 innings, receiving the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- Backed by his explosive offense, Poe cruised through his start. Following a three-run third inning from the Warriors, Poe responded by retiring seven straight batters, beginning in the fourth.
- Buske provided RBI hits in the second and third innings, and a two-run fourth gave McMurry a 9-3 lead.
- Chase Harris launched a solo homer to left in the sixth to cut the lead to five, but the lead returned to a half dozen after Colin Bruning scored on a wild pitch in the home half of the seventh.
- Hendrix attempted a comeback in the eighth inning, scoring two, including a Zane Nolan sacrifice fly to trim the lead to 10-6.
- The Warriors managed to load the bases in the ninth, but Adam Trevino worked out of the jam, striking out three batters to clinch the 11-6 victory.
