SCAC Athletes Earn 13 All-American Honors at 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) sent 25 athletes to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute's Outdoor Track & Field facility in Geneva, Ohio, highlighted by six individual top eight finishes and 13 total All-American performances.

The six individual top-eight finishes are the most by the SCAC since the 2010 NCAA National Championships.

On the women’s side six individuals grabbed All-American honors, including three securing First Team All-American honors, highlighted by Trinity first-year Annabelle Lanik’s {pictured left} third-place finish in the long jump. Lanik placed third with a career best leap of 5.99m. She is the third All-American in SCAC history in the long jump and the highest individual finisher since former member Birmingham-Southern’s Tiarra Goode won the national championship in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2012 Championships.  

Southwestern senior Arden Neff secured All-American honors in the 400-meter hurdles after cross the line in 1:01.81. She is the first Pirate in program history to earned individual All-American honors at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the first SCAC athlete to earn All-American honors in the 400-meter hurdles since Trinity’s Abigail Schneebeck finished eighth in 2019.

Rounding out the top eight finishers on the women’s side was Colorado College senior Isabel Olson’s eighth-place finish in the 1,500-meters. Olson crossed the line in 4:34.93 to secure All-American honors for the first time in the SCAC in this even since former member DePauw’s Lauren Rich earned the honor in 2009.

Additionally, three women earned Honorable Mention All-American honors after placing top 16 individually in their events, highlighted by Colorado College junior Alison Mueller-Hickler’s 10th-place finish in the 10,000-meters. Mueller-Hickler crossed the line in 35:26.33. Joining Mueller-Hickler as an Honorable Mention All-American were Trinity’s Joy Areola and Danya Selber who both finished 14th in the triple jump and 100-meter hurdles respectively. Areola turned in a leap of 11.83m, while Selber crossed the line in 14.35 seconds.  

For the men, six individuals earned All-American honors, including three capturing First Team All-American honors, highlighted by Colorado College junior Rabbit Barnes’ {pictured right} fourth place finish in the 1,500-meters. Barnes crossed the line in 3:50.01, becoming the second CC athlete to earned All-American honors in the event in the last three years. He joins James Settles who earned All-American honors in 2023 and 2024.

McMurry saw a pair of athletes earned First Team All-American honors in senior DonTre Sinegal and Reagan Owen. Sinegal took home sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 15.07m, becoming the first SCAC athlete to earn First Team All-American honors in the event since Chrys Jones of former member Centre won the individual national championship in 2011. Owen earned seventh in the hammer toss with a mark of 60.45m, becoming the first individual in SCAC history to claim AA honors in the event.

Sinegal also secured Honorable Mention All-American honors in the long jump finishing 13th with a mark of 6.99m. Texas Lutheran saw a pair of Bulldogs earn Honorable Mention All-American honors, including senior Ezra Acero and first year Braylen Brown. Acero finished tied for 10th in the pole vault after clearing 4.85m, while Brown finished 16th in the 400-meters, crossing the line in 48.99. Rounding out the SCAC Honorable Mention All-American’s was Trinity’s Bocar Diagana. Diagana, a junior, finished 16th in the triple jump with a leap of 14.37m.

In the team standings, the Trinity women were the highest placing SCAC squad, finishing tied for 41st with six total points. The Southwestern women finished tied for 65th with two points, while the Colorado College women finished tied for 73rd with one point. On the men’s side, both Colorado College and McMurry tied for 42nd with five total points. Wisconsin-La Crosse captured the men’s team title for the second-straight year with a cumulative score of 84 total points. MIT secured the women’s title for the first time in program history with a team score of 56.
