The Yellowjackets, who have won three straight games after losing its tournament opener, had to come from behind on two different occasions to emerge with the victory. Jonah McDaniel's three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the fifth tied the game at 6 and Chris Savage delivered a single up the middle to score two more in the bottom of the sixth and give LeTourneau its first lead of the game at 8-7 - a lead they would not relinquish.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- McMurry scored four runs in the top of the third, with Dru Ohmstede's two-out single plating a pair, giving the War Hawks an early 4-0 lead.
- LeTourneau answered with three runs in its half of the inning as a Cody Brady double scoring two and a Savage single plating one more.
- McMurry answered immediately with two runs in the top of the fourth with a single by Collin Bruni scoring two and pushing the War Hawk's lead back out to 6-3.
- McDaniel's blast to left field tied the game at 6-6 in the bottom of the fifth.
- Once again, McMurry bounced back with a run immediately after allowing a score, this time with a Tatum Black to single giving the War Hawks back the lead at 7-6.
- From there, Savage's provided his two-run single and Brady provided an insurance run with this single in the bottom of the eighth.
- Cruz Cox pitched the final three innings to earn his second save of the tournament and 10th of the season.

With the win, LeTourneau (26-18) advances to tomorrow's championship round against undefeated Concordia (Texas). First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. If the Yellowjackets win the first game, there will be a winner-take-all championship game immediately following against the same two teams.
