WES SCALF OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Friday, November 7 & Saturday, November 8. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 5)
Scalf secured four first place finishes over the weekend. On Friday evening against University of the Ozarks (Ark.), he won the 50 Freestyle with a 22.20 and the 200 Breaststroke with a 2:14. On Saturday against Hendrix, he won the 50 Freestyle with a 22.25 and then the 100 Breast with a 59.90.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Kamil Murugan of Austin College had his best meet of the season so far Friday against Southwestern. He secured two event wins in the 100 back and 100 freestyle posting top-8 times in the conference in both events. He also posted a season-best time in the 50 free to secure a second place finish and was able to capture an early lead on the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay.
