ERICH GLENEWINKEL OF CONCORDIA (TEX.), a first-year from College Station, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 16 through Sunday, February 22. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 3

Glenewinkel helped the Tornados clinch a series victory over Schreiner in a 13-inning battle where CTX won 5-4. The freshman reliever entered the game with CTX tied 2-2 in the sixth and kept the Tornados afloat by only allowing two hits and no earned runs over 8.0 innings of action with five strikeouts. Glenewinkel faced the minimum over the final seven innings of work with just one baserunner reaching. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Jacob Broussard of Centenary started game one of a DH at George Fox University on Friday and picked up his first win of the season. The veteran posted a career-high nine strikeouts across 6.0 innings of work, allowing just three runs (two earned) on five hits with one walk. Broussard faced 25 batters, hitting one, and threw 92 pitches with 62 for strikes. His previous high for K's in a game came last season at Trinity University when he fanned eight Tigers. Junior Keller Shamburger of Dallas delivered in relief, earning a save while allowing just one earned run over three innings of work. Shamburger allowed just two hits and three walks to hold opponents to a .222 batting average. Junior Dylan Kalmus of Hendrix spun 6.0 innings of two-hit, shutout ball in Hendrix's 10-1 over Ozarks (Ark.) in game two of their weekend series. The junior faced just three batters above the minimum in a quality start and struck out six to earn his first winning decision of the season. Junior Camden Miller of LeTourneau made two relief appearances and allowed just one run across four innings in a three-game sweep of McMurry. Miller came on for the final 2.2 innings of a 3-2 game-one victory and stranded the game-tying runner in scoring position and notched the save while tallying two strikeouts. Miller also threw 1.1 innings in game two and allowed one run on one hit. Senior Hunter Poe of McMurry pitched six innings in a loss to LeTourneau allowing three runs while striking out nine batters. Poe allowed eight hits to just one walk. Junior Jhasir Camano of Ozarks (Ark.) threw four scoreless innings while striking out seven against Hendrix College on Feb. 20. In his relief appearance, Hendrix batters hit just .187 against him. Junior Max Sauceda of Schreiner earned a save against Concordia (Tex.) in the Mountaineers' lone win against the Tornados. Sauceda pitched the final four innings of game two allowing three hits, no runs and four strikeouts to seal the 8-2 win. Sophomore Isaiah Ramirez of Texas Lutheran allowed two runs over six innings to pick up his second win of the season in an 11-2 victory over St. Thomas (Tex.). He struck out six batters over his six innings of work allowing four hits and one walk.
