MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Headlined by First Team honorees Riley Brady of Hendrix College and Helana Chadwick of McMurry University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) saw four student-athletes earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors it was announced on Monday. Complete Release
Brady and Chadwick represented the SCAC on the Region 10 First Team, while Colorado College’s Kayla Mackel and Texas Lutheran University’s Lauren Sansano were both honored as Second Team recipients. This year marks the second consecutive season the SCAC has been represented by four student-athletes on the D3hoops.com All-Region Team.
Brady, a junior forward from Little Rock, Arkansas, was named the 2025-26 SCAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year. She finished second in the country in rebounds per game with 18.2 and was second in the SCAC with 17.7 points per game. Her 440 rebounds this season is an SCAC record for rebounds in a single season, becoming the first player in league history to surpass 400 rebounds in a single season. Brady posted 22 double-doubles in 25 games played this season and surpassed both the career 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds mark and was also the NCAA Division III women's basketball 2025-26 statistical champion with 7.5 offensive rebounds per game. Her selection marks the first by a Hendrix women’s basketball player since Sara Dyslin earned All-Region honors following the 2016-17 season.
Chadwick, a senior guard from La Vernia, Texas, is making her debut on the D3hoops.com All-Region First Team. A First Team All-SCAC honoree, Chadwick paced the SCAC averaging 22.4 points per game, the eighth best single season scoring average in conference history. Her 560 points are tied for the eighth most total points in a single season, becoming just the ninth player in SCAC history to reach the 560-point plateau in a single season.
Mackel, a senior guard from Houston, Texas, led Colorado College in scoring during the 2025-26 season, averaging 14.8 points per game while totaling 325 points across 22 games en route to earning Second Team All-Region 10. She knocked down a team-high 42 three-point field goals, connecting on 30.9 percent from distance and added 90 rebounds, 41 assists, 31 steals and 26 blocks on the season. Additionally, Mackel was named a First Team All-SCAC selection, marking the third all-conference honor of her career. During the season she also became the 17th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
Sansano, a senior guard from San Antonio, Texas, earned Second Team All-Region 10 accolades after earning First Team All-SCAC honors for the second time in her career. She led TLU in scoring (14.6 PPG), assists (4.5), and steals (2.3) while adding 5.2 rebounds per game. She scored in double figures in 21 of her 27 outings including seven 20-plus games, including the first 20-point triple-double in program history. Nationally, Sansano finished 7th in free throw percentage (88.8) and 28th in assists (121). Sansano concludes her career as Texas Lutheran's seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,175 points (63rd in SCAC history) and the program's all-time leader in career free throw percentage, finishing with a career mark 87.3 percent (2nd in SCAC history). She also finishes second in the program's NCAA history in assists (324) and third in steals (178).
Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 797 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to a number of SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.
It's the 25th season D3hoops.com has named All-Region teams.
Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The women's basketball All-America team will be released March 21, at the national championship game, and the men's basketball All-America team will be released in the following week.
