NATALIE LILES OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a junior from McKinney, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Friday, November 14 & Saturday, November 15. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 6)
Liles secured four individual victories to lead the War Hawks to a pair of tight dual meet wins over conference opponent St. Thomas last weekend. She won the 200-yard free, hitting the wall in 2:12.27 and the 500-yard free with a time of 5:52.59. Both times were season bests for the junior. She followed that up with win the 1,650-yard freestyle (21:12.27) and showed her diverse skill set winning the 100-yard free in a time of 34.82.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore swimmer Valentina Garcia of St. Thomas was a standout for the Celts in a dual meet against conference opponent McMurry last weekend, winning two individual events. Garcia won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.93 and hit the wall first in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:11.09.
