Tournament MVP Avory Miller poured in 13 of her 15 points in the second half to lead the ‘Roos to victory and secure the program’s second Tournament Title, six years to the day from the first tournament title in AC Women’s Basketball history.
- In a slow developing opening quarter in which both teams shot less than 34 percent, Austin College led 9-7 after the opening 10 minutes of championship action.
- Hendrix, behind a 10-point run and connecting on 70 percent from the field in the second quarter, built a six point, 27-21, lead going into the break.
- As the second half got underway, a Riley Brady tip-in with 4:26 left in the third quarter pushed the Warriors lead to 10, its largest of the game, but Austin College was able to tie the game up going into the fourth quarter thanks to an 11-1 run.
- The ‘Roos extended the run to open the fourth, starting the quarter on an 8-0 run, capping off a stretch from the 4:26 mark in the third until 4:05 left in the fourth in which Austin College held Hendrix without a field goal, outscoring the Warriors 19-1 in the time.
- Austin College held Hendrix to just 20 percent shooting (3-of-15) in the fourth quarter, while they connected on 46.7 percent (7-of-15) en route to an 11-point victory.
- Austin College committed just eight turnovers in the game, while forcing 19 defensively to hold an 11-1 advantage in points off turnovers.
- The ‘Roos finished the night hitting 36.7 percent from the field, while the Warriors connected on 34.9 percent from the floor. Austin College’s bench outscored the Hendrix bench, 17-2, and the ‘Roos held a 34-24 edge in points in the paint.
- Austin College closed out Championship Sunday with 13 assists on 22 field goals, while Hendrix ended with just four assists on 15 field goals.

- Austin College improves to 2-0 all-time in SCAC Tournament Championship finals, while Hendrix drops to 0-2 all-time.
- The 99 combined points were the second lowest SCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament final total in conference history. Trinity University and Colorado College combined for just 95 points in the 2022 championship.
- Hendrix first-year guard Chloey-Rei Brown finished the tournament with 69 total points, the second most in a single tournament in SCAC history, trailing only Oglethorpe’s Anna Findley’s 79 points in the 2007 tournament.
- Riley Brady of Hendrix set a new SCAC Tournament record for rebounds in a single tournament with 56, breaking the old mark of 42 by Millsaps’ Janice Okeke during the 2012 tournament.
- The all-tournament team consisted of Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran, Riley Brady and Chloey-Rei Brown of Hendrix; and Avory Miller (MVP), Brooklyn Matthews and Maya Dodson of Austin College.
- Austin College improved to 9-12 all-time in the SCAC tounament, including 2-0 against Hendrix.
- Hendrix ends the season with a 17-10 record.
