HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado College took a 1-0 lead after an opening set victory, 25-19. The Tigers limited Austin College to just a .059 hitting percentage in the first set, while CC produced 14 kills behind a team .189 hitting percentage.
- The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after a commanding 25-15 set victory behind the strength of a .389 hitting percentage. Colorado College committed just two errors in its second set victory.
- Austin College battled back in the third set, taking a 26-24 win to push the match to a fourth set. The ‘Roos limited the Tigers to just a .058 hitting percentage and fought off two match points, winning the final four points of the set to secure the 26-24 win.
- Colorado College claimed a 3-1 victory after winning the fourth set, 25-18. After 11 errors in the third set, the Tigers committed just three in the fourth and posted a .250 hitting percentage.
- For the match, Colorado College finished with 10 service aces to just two for Austin College. The Tigers hit .208 on the afternoon, while the ‘Roos posted a .125 team hitting percentage.
