SUWANEE, Ga. – Hendrix College junior wide receiver Westin Bruce was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week for week three of the 2025 season.
Bruce had a career-day against Millsaps on Saturday, amassing 224 yards to set a new single-game high in receiving yards and averaged 56.0 yards per reception. His 224 receiving yards ranks fifth all-time in a single game in the SCAC. The junior also set a new program record with a 96-yard catch-and-run, and his second touchdown of the day came on a 76-yard reception.
Earlier this week, Bruce was also named SCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Bruce is the first Hendrix athlete to earn D3football.com National Team of the Week honors since the trio of Adonnis Butler, Jacob Bremmon and Carter Weakly secured accolades back in 2021. He is the first SCAC athlete to earn national recognition since McMurry’s Kristopher Martin secured accolades in November of 2024.
