LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Hendrix College jumped out to a 20-0 lead, withstood a Lyon College second quarter spurt, and pulled away late to take a 55-28 victory that secured third place for the Warriors in Saturday's second game of a championship tripleheader at War Memorial Stadium. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hendrix scored on three of its first four first quarter possesions to jump out to an early 20-0 lead. Sophomore quarterback Jake Blice threw TD passes to sophomore receiver Amare Foreman and two more to junior receiver Weston Bruce.
- Lyon found the end zone twice in the second quarter - sandwiching a pair of TD passes from junior quarterback Grayson Johnson around a three-yard TD run from Hendrix's Auvic White - to go into the halftime lockerroom down 27-14.
- White scored his second rushing TD of the game (a two-yard plunge) to extend the Warriors' lead to 34-14 with 9:20 remaining in the third quarter.
- The Scots' Johnson tossed his third TD pass of the game - this one a 19-yard completion to first-year receiver Louis Calhoun - to cut Hendrix's lead to 34-21. The TD was the second of the game for Calhoun.
- Blice threw two more TD passes - his fourth and fifth of the night - to extend the Warriors' lead to 41-21 entering the fourth quarter.
- The teams swapped touchdowns over the last five minutes of the game, providing the final 55-28 margin.
- Hendrix out-gained Lyon 488 to 345 yards.

- With its 55 point outburst, Hendrix took over the conference lead in points per game, ending the season averaging 40.3 points per contest.
