JASON CRAMPTON OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a senior on the men's track & field team from Houston, Texas, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character and Community Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning February 9.
The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.
Jason continues to make an impact at the University of St. Thomas both on and off the track. A senior member of the Celts’ Track & Field program, Crampton exemplifies the values of the SCAC Character & Community initiative through his leadership, service, and commitment to helping others succeed.
On campus, Crampton is actively involved through his work at the UST Career Services Center, where he helps fellow students take meaningful steps toward their future careers. In this role, he assists with mock interviews, resume building, and professional headshots, giving students the tools and confidence they need to succeed beyond graduation. His work provides peers with a strong foundation as they prepare to enter the workforce.
Beyond campus, Crampton is dedicated to giving back to the community by supporting those in need. Whether through service efforts or leading by example, he consistently demonstrates a willingness to step up and help others. His actions reflect a strong sense of responsibility and compassion.
