Conway, Arkansas
Conway, with a total population of 64,134, is the eighth-most populous city in Arkansas. The city serves as a regional shopping, educational, work, healthcare, sports, and cultural hub and is known as "The City of Colleges" - serving as home to three post-secondary educational institutions - University of Central Arkansas, Central Baptist College, and, of course, Hendrix College.
Conway is part of the larger Little Rock–North Little Rock, Combined Statistical Area, which in 2016 had a population of 905,847, and ranked the country's 60th largest CSA.
Garrison Court at Grove Gymnasium
Located in the Wellness and Athletic Center, Cliff Garrison Court at Grove Gymnasium, which seats up to 1,100, houses Hendrix's basketball and volleyball teams. The space is named for two of Hendrix's most iconic coaches, Ivan Grove and Cliff Garrison.
As a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, Hendrix hosted back-to-back SCAC basketball tournaments at Grove Gymnasium in 2008 and 2009, and is set to host the 2026 SCAC men's and women's basketball tournaments - the institution's first year back as a full-time member of the conference.
