Carter Crane, Hendrix College, Women's Basketball - Character & Community

CARTER CRANE OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a senior on the women's basketball team from Ozark, Ark., has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning January 12.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Carter, who played in 26 games last year, is a senior majoring in Political Science with plans to attend law school after graduation. She is the Co-President of the Hendrix Justice Initiative, a member of Hendrix’s Pre-Law Society, as well as a member of the Moot Court on Hendrix campus.

The Hendrix Justice Initiative is a club for students interested in Criminal Justice with a goal to create a community of like-minded individuals to the pursuit of reforming American Crime and Punishment systems and to provide opportunities to pursue justice on Hendrix College’s campus and within Central Arkansas.

Off-campus, Carter is involved in Elevation, the college ministry of New Life Church. She serves on the leadership team and is also a life group leader.

Carter is set to marry assistant football coach, Deuce Carter, this May.

A three-time SAA Spring Academic Honor Roll, Carter is a 2025 CSC Academic All-District recipient.
