SUWANEE, Ga. – Led by the Colorado College women’s basketball team, the SCAC had three squads honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Monday when the association released its prestigious Academic Top 25 rankings for the 2025-26 season.

Colorado College finished in the top 10 for the third consecutive year, securing the ninth best team GPA in all of Division III women’s basketball, with a 3.793 GPA. Led by head coach Katherine August, the Tigers posted the 10th strongest GPA following the 2023-24 season and paced all of Div. III with the best GPA in the country in 2025-26.

Joining CC on this prestigious list was University of the Ozarks, led by head coach Seth McDowell and Hendrix College, guided by head coach Wes Sullivan. The Eagles finished the year with an impressive 3.421 GPA, while the Warriors ended the year with a 3.259 grade-point average.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women’s basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
