SAMANTHA CRUMRIN OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS a sophomore first baseman from Katy, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 23 through Sunday, March 1. SCAC Softball Release - Week 4

Crumrin delivered a standout performance in conference play, hitting .636 (7-for-11) across three games in a series sweep of McMurry. She drove in nine runs, scored four times, and recorded one double and one triple for a .909 slugging percentage. Crumrin struck out just once all weekend and was flawless defensively with 11 total chances and a 1.000 fielding percentage. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior first basemen Abigail Hodgson of Centenary hit .286 with a .375 OBP for the Ladies in their weekend series at Concordia and finished with two hits, a run scored, and a walk. Junior utility Kylie Kirk of Concordia went .600 (6-10) with six extra-base hits, six RBI, and four runs scored in a series win over Centenary. She powered a walk-off homerun to cap a run-rule victory in game one. The junior also collected a two-RBI double in game two. Senior outfielder Abby Lasley of Dallas led the way at the plate with a .455 batting average (5-for-11) and an equally strong .455 on-base percentage across three conference games, consistently putting herself in scoring position. With two multi-hit performances, six total bases, a double, and two RBI, she delivered steady, all-around production that anchored the offense throughout the week. Senior infielder Rylie Shipp of LeTourneau went 4-for-6 (.667) and was on base seven times in nine total plate appearances in a three-game series at Texas Lutheran. Shipp had two hits in each of the first two games before drawing two walks in the series finale. Junior outfielder Emma Reynolds of Ozarks hit .333 and scored two runs to help the Eagles win the series against Austin College. Reynolds also stole three bases during the series. First-year infielder Isabel Moreno of Schreiner hit an impressive .625 last week in leading the Mountaineers to a 4-1 week, including a SCAC sweep over Dallas. Moreno went 10-for-16 with two doubles, four RBI and one stolen base. She posted a .625 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage. Senior infielder Caelee Clark of Texas Lutheran was stellar for the Bulldogs last weekend and was a major catalyst for the TLU offense hitting .667 and stealing nine bases on the weekend to score five runs for the Bulldogs in their sweep of LeTourneau.
