CHLOE BENNETT OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a senior catcher from Waller, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 9 through Sunday, February 15. SCAC Softball Release - Week 2

Bennett powered St. Thomas to a 3-0 record in conference play with a dominant performance at the plate. Bennett batted .769 (10-for-13) across three games, scoring six runs and driving in 13 while posting a 1.308 slugging percentage. She recorded two doubles, a triple, and a home run, totaling 17 bases without striking out once during the week. Bennett also added a stolen base and was flawless defensively behind the plate, finishing with a 1.000 fielding percentage and 18 putouts. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Lauren Trott of Austin College had a big weekend at the dish as the 'Roos opened up conference play at LeTourneau, reaching safely in all three games and ending the weekend hitting .556 with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. Trott scored three runs while driving in two more and had a double and a home run in the conference series. Senior catcher Jaeden Thrasher of Centenary had a monster weekend for the Ladies as she helped lead them to a home sweep over Schreiner to begin conference play. Thrasher played both catcher and DP and hit a sizzling .750 (6-for-8) with six RBI, three runs scored, and three doubles. She had a stolen base and a sacrifice fly and finished the series with a .667 OBP and slugged a whopping 1.125. Senior outfielder Kylie Denaro of Concordia was outstanding in leading the Tornados to a 4-0 record to start the season 2026 season, highlighted by a 2-0 shortened series sweep of Dallas to open SCAC play. Denaro hit .533, going 8-for-15, eight RBI, six runs scored and three doubles. She posted a .563 on-base percentage, stole two bases and slugged .733 on the week. Senior infielder Maddie Flanery of LeTourneau batted .636 (7-for-11) with five runs scored, two RBI, and five stolen bases in a series win over Austin. She had multi-hit games in all three games of the series, including going 3-for-3 with an RBI, two runs, and three steals in a 4-3 victory in game two. Flanery was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts in the series. First-year infielder Brilea Rofkahr of Ozarks opened her collegiate career batting .800 with a pair of runs and a double over two games. Rofkahr totaled five bases and went 1-for-1 in stolen bases while fielding 1.000 from her shortstop position. Senior catcher Taylor Vannett of Texas Lutheran who had just one home run in her career entering the weekend, had a stellar weekend as she led the TLU offense to a sweep behind two home runs, five extra base hits, and seven RBI - tallying multiple hits in all three games this weekend.
