Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior third baseman Morgan Dawson of Centenary got off to a hot start for the Ladies in their opening weekend as she hit .600 (3-for-5) in a non-conference doubleheader at Millsaps on Saturday. Dawson had three RBI and a BB as she finished with a .571 OBP and slugged .600. Senior outfielder Maddie Flanery of LeTourneau went 3-for-7 with an RBI, one run scored, and two steals in losses at No. 14-ranked Belhaven. She went 2-for-4 with two steals and a run scored in a game one loss before going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a one-run loss in game two. Junior outfielder Riley Davila of Texas Lutheran posted a blistering .750 batting average (6-for-8), including a perfect 4-for-4 in the opener of the Bulldogs doubleheader sweep of UMHB to open the season. Davila drove in two runs and scored three times to go along with five stolen bases in her Bulldog debut.
