SAWYER WHITE OF UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS (TEX.), a sophomore from Houston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 2 through Sunday, March 8. SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 4
White scored a pair of line two singles wins over the weekend. The sophomore defeated Austin College's Joel Colunga, 6-0, 6-2, on Friday and then bounced Dallas' Aidan Nguyen, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, on Saturday.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Andrew Reiman of LeTourneau went 3-0 in singles as the Yellowjackets began their trip to Hilton Head. Reiman had LeTourneau's lone point in a loss to Clark with a 7-6(6), 7-5 win at the No. 1 flight over Edward Sheperd-Johnson. Playing at No. 2 vs. Gordon, Reiman defeated Santiago Diaz 6-4, 6-3, and then took down Carroll's Andrew LaBelle at No. 2 7-6(3), 7-5. Senior Perry Guidry of Ozarks posted a perfect record over three matches in Mississippi. Playing the No. 4 singles position against Belhaven, he had a 6-2, 6-0 win. Against Millsaps College had posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles. Then against Mississippi University for Women, he won 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 5 position. He also went 3-0 in doubles play.
