ISAIAH RAMIREZ OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 6

Ramirez tossed 6.1 no hit innings out of the bullpen to earn the win in game one of the Bulldogs' sweep of Ozarks (Ark.). Ramirez walked three and struck out six of the 23 batters he faced. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Jonas CeBallos of Austin College was lights out in his start against St. Thomas over the weekend, going the distance in a nine-inning win over the Celts. CeBallos struck out eight batters while walking just one, scattering seven hits and allowing no earned runs in a complete game performance to help the 'Roos win the series against UST. Sophomore Coen Laroux of Centenary worked 5.2 IP for the Diamond Gents in their weekend series at home against LeTourneau and fanned eight batters, walked only two and allowed just one earned run on two hits. Laroux picked up a save, his second of the season, and pitched a season-high 4.1 innings on Saturday in a 12-2 run-rule win. First-year Jaxson Frazier of Concordia (Tex.) delivered a strong outing on the mound to help the Tornados secure a 9-1 SCAC victory over McMurry. The right-hander earned the win after pitching 5.2 innings and allowing just one run on four hits while not surrendering an earned run. Senior Clayton Holt of LeTourneau tossed a seven-inning shutout and allowed just two hits in a 12-0 win over Centenary in the series opener. Holt threw 113 pitches and collected five strikeouts while not allowing a hit until two outs in the fifth inning. Holt walked four and allowed a total of two hits. Senior Trey Gomez of McMurry earned a win in relief for the War Hawks pitching 3.2 innings to close out a 16-4 win over Concordia (Tex.). Gomez did not allow a run with just two hits and five strikeouts against the 12 batters he faced. First-year Boyd Peck of Ozarks (Ark.) tossed 6.2 innings as the starter giving up just one earned run and three hits in game two of the Eagles' series against Texas Lutheran. Peck also struck out four. Sophomore Wyatt Henry of Schreiner did not allow a run over a pair of starts, pitching 10.0 innings over two appearances allowing nine hits and striking out five. Henry threw 6.0 innings against Mary Hardin-Baylor midweek before coming back on short rest to start and toss 4.0 innings against Hendrix on Sunday. Sophomore Armando Rocha of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered a dominant complete-game performance for the Celts, earning the win in his lone start of the week. He tossed 7.0 innings while allowing just one run on four hits and striking out nine. Rocha finished with a 1.29 ERA, a .86 WHIP, and held opponents to a .160 batting average.
