ADAM PEAVY OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week of the Week for games played from Tuesday, March 24 through Sunday, March 29. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 8

Peavy was 7-for-12 (.583) over a weekend series against Schreiner accounting for seven RBI and posted a 1.167 slugging percentage. Peavy had one home run, a triple and a pair of doubles with four runs scored across the series and did not strikeout in 12 at bats. He totaled 14 bases on four extra-base hits. This marks his second award of the season. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Keaton Bradshaw of Austin College was on fire at the dish last week collecting 10 hits, including three doubles, while driving in eight runs and scoring five times. He finished the week batting .526 with a .591 on-base percentage and a .684 slugging percentage over a 3-2 week for the 'Roos. Sophomore Turner Mclelland of Centenary went 5-11 (.455) in the Diamond Gents' series win at home over Austin College with three RBI, six runs scored, and two walks. Mclelland also had three extra-base hits (a home run, a triple, and a double) with a .571 OBP and slugged 1.000. He had a pair of multi-hit games and hit his first homer of the season in Saturday's 18-2 run-rule win. Senior Landon Hyle of Concordia (Tex.) led the Tornados offensively in a three-game SCAC series at Hendrix, hitting .538 (7-for-13) with a home run, double, and no strikeouts. He recorded multi-hit performances in all three games, including a 3-for-5 outing with a home run in the series finale. Senior Zane Nolan of Hendrix went 5-for-9 (.556) at the plate in Hendrix's series win over Concordia (Tex.), including a perfect 3-for-3 day in game two with a triple. The senior worked six walks total across the weekend, scored five runs, and batted in four runs, including the game-tying and winning runs on a walk-off two-run single in game three to give the Warriors the series. Graduate student Chris Savage of LeTourneau batted .444 (8-for-18) with two homers, five RBIs, one double, and three runs scored. He finished with a .474 on-base percentage and an .833 slugging percentage. He went 4-for-4 with a run scored in game one at Linfield and followed that by going 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs, and one run scored in game two. He then hit a three-run go-ahead homer in a game-three win and finished 2-for-3. He totaled 15 bases on three extra-base hits. Sophomore Beckham Paul of McMurry was 5-for-10 (.500) over the weekend with a pair of RBI and five stolen bases. Paul had a hit in each game of the series including going 2-for-3 with two runs scored in a 17-1 win in game two. Junior Gabriel Ellison of Ozarks (Ark.) totaled four hits with a pair of doubles and two RBI during the Eagles' series against St. Thomas (Tex.). He also played flawless at third base, not committing an error and increased his season RBI total to a team-best 31.
