BRANDON MUNSON OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Livingston, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Co-Golfer of the Week for competition played from Saturday, September 27 through Tuesday, September 30. SCAC Golf Release (Week 3)
Munson made three birdies Tuesday and won a playoff round to claim his first career individual championship at the Scots Fall Invitational shooting a 142 (-2) overall. The sophomore opened the tournament firing a 68 (-4) including birdies on three of the last four holes. He totaled seven birdies in the event and shot over par on just three of 36 holes.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Oliver Naumann of Hendrix shot an even par final round of 72, jumping 10 spots to finish in a tie for seventh at the Scots Fall Invitational. Following an open round 77, Naumann carded three birdies in his final round to shot 72 and post a top-10 finish. Junior Tallon Burgess of McMurry finished just outside the top-10 at the UMHB Men’s Classic to pace the War Hawks. Burgess post a two-day score of 149 (+5), highlighted by an eagle on the 16th hole of his second round to finish 11th. Senior Colin Perez of Schreiner led the way for the Mountaineers at the UMHB Men’s Classic, securing a top-10 finish in a tie for seventh with a two round total 146 (+2). Perez opened with a 76 before firing a two-under 70 in the final round to jump nine places in finish tied for seventh. He finished the tournament with seven birdies, including two of his final three holes to finish his second round under par.
