Junior forward Chanel Kemball-Cook of LeTourneau scored in back-to-back matches to lead the YellowJackets to a 1-0-1 record on the week and keep them alive for a spot in the SCAC postseason tournament next month. She got the scoring going for LeTourneau in a 3-1 road win at Ozarks on Friday and then scored the only goal for the YellowJackets in 1-1 draw against Hendrix. Kemball-Cook now has nine goals on the season, the most in the SCAC. Junior midfielder Madison Black of McMurry scored a goal in the War Hawks, 4-1, win over Dallas on the road on Sunday. Black is now tied for second in the SCAC with seven goals on the season and her 14 points are good enough for sixth in the conference. First-year forward Mackenzie Kubien of Ozarks scored the game-winning goal in the Eagles, 1-0, win over Austin College on Sunday. It marked the first career goal for Kubien in lifting the Eagles to their first league win of the season.
