Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior midfielder Aubrey Burkhardt of Centenary scored a late goal for the Ladies on Tuesday evening at home against Texas College, finding the net on a free kick in the 75th minute to tie the match as she scored her second goal of the season. Junior forward Maddie Oberholtzer of Concordia scored her first goal of the season in the Tornados’, 1-1 tie against Texas A&M-Victoria last Saturday. Sophomore forward Laila Brown of McMurry scored the lone goal for the War Hawks in a 4-1 road loss against Trinity on Sunday. First-year winger Amy Romero of St. Thomas was outstanding last week in leading the Celts to perfect 2-0 week with wins over North American University and Howard Payne. Romero scored a goal and added an assist in the Celts 3-0 win over NAU and then followed that up with the lone goal in a 1-0 road win at Howard Payne.
