DAVI'YANNA JONES OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERITY, a junior guard from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 15 through Monday, December 22. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 7)
Jones dominated on Friday night in the SCAC opener for TLU against Concordia. She finished with a career-high 23 points, on a blistering 83.3 percent shooting (10-of-12) and nearly missed out on a double-double with eight rebounds in an impressive 76-56 win over the Tornados. Jones also added two assists and two steals in the win.

Junior forward Emma Potts of Austin College had a strong game against Millsaps in the team's lone contest last week, scoring 11 points to match the team high while pulling down eight rebounds, handing out two assists, and swatting a pair of shots. She was 5-of-9 from the field and knocked down her lone free throw attempt. Junior guard Natalie Edmonson of Hendrix led the Warriors offensively in their 62-53 win over non-conference foe Howard Payne on Friday evening. She jumped out of the gates to score Hendrix's first ten points of the contest and finished with 16 points on 4-of-8 shooting from behind the arc and 6-of-15 from the field. Edmonson also extended a couple possessions with two offensive rebounds. Junior guard Robbi Martinez of LeTourneau scored a career-high 16 points in a close loss to Millsaps, LeTourneau's only game of the week. She was 7-of-12 from the field with two 3-pointers, while collecting four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Senior guard Helana Chadwick of McMurry led the War Hawks to a 2-1 record, including 1-1 at the Hoops in Hawai’i Classic. Chadwick averaged 22.6 points per game on 45 percent shooting. She also added 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as well.
