Ising grabbed seven defensive rebounds and was credited with three blocks in the Tornados’ 68-41 win over Dallas Christian in a non-conference contest. Her efforts helped limit Dallas Christian to just 23 percent shooting, including just 15.8 percent from three-point range. This season, Ising leads the SCAC with 16 blocks on the year, averaging 2.3 blocks per game and has posted three of the top nine best single game block performances this season, including her three block performances last week, tied for fifth most in a single contest this year.
Senior guard Kylie Weeks of LeTourneau recorded five steals and grabbed one defensive rebound in an 88-52 win over College of Biblical Studies last week. Weeks’ five steals are tied for the fourth most steals in a single game this season. Sophomore forward Kennedi Wight of Ozarks recorded four blocks and grabbed four defensive rebounds in a non-conference win over Lyon last week. The four blocks are tied for the third most in a single game this year. Senior forward Nora Aigberadion of St. Thomas averaged 2.5 defensive rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in a pair of contests last week to help the Celts go 1-1. Senior guard Lauren Sansano of Texas Lutheran nearly missed a double-double with a team-high nine rebounds and two steals as she played a major role defensively in holding UMHB to their second lowest point total of the season in the Bulldogs 68-52 win. Of her nine rebounds, eight of them were on the defensive glass.
