LILI GARCIA OF UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS, a senior guard from Ferris, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, November 24 through Sunday, November 30. SCAC Women's Basketball Release (Week 4) 

Garcia
had a strong defensive effort to lead the Eagles to a win against Rhodes on Sunday. Garcia recorded two steals and had one block while pulling down 10 defensive rebounds. She ended the game with a double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds) and was efficient from the field hitting 5-of-9 and dished out four assists.

Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior guard Avory Miller of Austin College stuffed the stat sheet as the ‘Roos went 1-1 over the Thanksgiving break, averaging 12.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Miller had five steals and a block, and 19 of her 23 rebounds on the weekend were on the defensive end of the court. First-year forward Rayna Welsch of Colorado College had a great weekend on both sides of the court. She led the Tigers with eight rebounds and 1.5 steals per game against College of St. Benedict and Whitman College. The freshman grabbed a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds against the Bennies on Friday, then followed it up with five boards and a career-high three steals on Sunday in a win over the Blues. In a 58-56 win over UMHB, senior post Samantha Ising of Concordia, led the charge defensively with a career-high 13 rebounds. Her 13th board was an offensive rebound in the final minute that resulted in her knocking down the go-ahead free throw. She also recorded a pair of blocks, which moved her to third all-time in Concordia’s history with 65. Senior forward Aryana Cleveland of McMurry posted her second-straight double-double in an SCAC opening win over Schreiner with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Seven of her boards were on the defensive end of the floor. Senior guard Kameron Goodman of St. Thomas made an immediate impact off the bench, sparking the Celts with disruptive defense and timely scoring in a win over ETBU last week. She racked up five steals in 25 minutes while adding 14 points on 6–of–10 shooting, including two made threes, all without committing a foul or turnover.
