TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the 2025 All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes on Wednesday and five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference programs, and 50 student-athletes were recognized. ITA Men's Release | ITA Women's Release
Colorado College and Trinity University were recognized as All-Academic teams on both the men's and women's side, while the Schreiner University men’s program was also honored.
Individually, Colorado College paced all SCAC honorees with 18, followed by Trinity and Schreiner with 13, and Concordia University (Texas) rounded out the impressive list of 50 total individuals with six.
Historically, this marks the fifth-straight year the SCAC has seen at least five teams and 50 or more individuals recognized by the ITA for academic success.
This year 300 NCAA Division III programs were recognized with the ITA All-Academic honors, while over 2,380 individuals received ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2023 and spring 2024) and must be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and 3.) be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
