Lehmitz posted a 2-0 record at No. 2 singles as CC defeated St. Thomas, 7-0, and LeTourneau, 5-2. He defeated Sawyer White of UST, 6-0, 6-2, then rallied to beat Andrew Reiman of LeTourneau, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0(8). He is 4-0 in SCAC matches at the No. 2 spot.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Chase Scholz of Concordia (Tex.) led the Tornados with a dominant weekend at No. 1 singles, going 2-0 in straight sets against conference opponents. Scholz opened with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Andrew Reyes of Schreiner before following it up with another commanding performance in a 6-2, 6-0 win over Mason Bagwell of McMurry. Sophomore Wesley McClure of Hendrix went 2-0 in the No. 1 singles spot in Hendrix's weekend sweep over the University of Dallas and Austin College. The sophomore dropped just one game in four sets played, winning 6-0, 6-1 against Dallas' No. 1 and blanked Austin College's No. 1 6-0, 6-0 in a decisive win. Senior Zach Farris of LeTourneau went 2-0 at the No. 1 singles flight and 2-0 in doubles on the week. He defeated St. Thomas' Raja Pandya 6-3, 6-3 and also took a win over Colorado College's Dominik Kaminski 6-0, 6-4. He and Timothy Black also went 2-0 at the No. 2 flight in doubles with wins over St. Thomas and Colorado College. Senior Sergio Munoz of Ozarks (Ark.) went 2-0 in singles play to help the Eagles to an undefeated conference weekend. Munoz, playing at No. 3, cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Timothy Wallace from Austin College on Friday. Munoz followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Aidan Nguyen University of Dallas on Saturday. Junior Pooya Tork of St. Thomas (Tex.) delivered the decisive point for the Celts at line five singles, battling to a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 victory to clinch the match and secure a 4-3 win over LeTourneau.
