LENNY LEHMITZ AND SAM DILWORTH OF COLORADO COLLEGE, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, March 10 through Sunday, March 15. SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 5
Lehmitz, a sophomore from Greenwich, Conn., and Dilworth, a sophomore from Mercer Island, Wash., won all three of their matches at the No. 1 position as CC opened SCAC play last week. They defeated Jason Soto and Ernesto Molina of Schreiner, 6-1, Cashton Herrera and Eric Moninger of TLU, 7-5, and Daniel Beckles and Aaron Griffin of Concordia, 6-3, to help the Tigers win 26 of 27 matches during the week.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomores Andrew Reiman and Fernando Vazquez of LeTourneau teamed up for a 6-3 win over Greenville's Jade Dynamic and Francisco Trujillo in LeTourneau's 4-3 loss in its only match of the week. The duo moved to 6-1 on the year. Seniors Kento Iwahara and Perry Guidry of Ozarks (Ark.) went 2-0 in doubles play over the weekend in Texas at the top flight. The duo defeated Joseph Snyman and Christo Langford from Southwestern University 6-3 on Saturday. They then followed with a dominating 6-0 win against Jason Soto and Ernesto Gonzalez from Schreiner on Sunday.
