WILL SHUFLIT OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Park City, Utah, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets conducted Saturday, September 6. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 2)
Shuflit placed second overall at the UCCS Rust Buster Meet Saturday to lead the Colorado College men’s cross country team to a third-place result. Shuflit’s runner-up finish is the second-best ever by a Tiger at the meet as Jackson Brainerd won the event in 2010. Shuflit, a 2024 Division III All-American, finished the 8K race in a time of 24:53.9.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Zach Wroten of Centenary led the Gents for the second week in a row as he finished the 8k with a time of 33:07.25 at the UT Tyler Cross Country Opener. First-year Jayden Curry of University of Dallas battled challenging conditions at the Crusaders’ home University of Dallas XC Invitational placing 11th in the 5k with a time of 19:23.6.
