TEIGAN EDWARDS OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Lindale, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, November 10 through Sunday, November 16. SCAC Men's Basketball Release (Week 2)
Edwards totaled 4.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, and 5.5 rebounds per game to go along with 14.5 points and 7.0 assists per contest in a 2-0 week for LeTourneau. He had two steals, two blocks, and seven rebounds with 15 points and six assists in a 92-85 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor. Edwards also tallied seven steals (tying a program NCAA-era record) with four rebounds and a block to go with 14 points and eight assists in a 109-86 win over Belhaven.

Senior center Russell MacFarlane of Colorado College recorded his first career double-double on Sunday to lead the Tigers to a win over Kalamazoo College. The Seattle native finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds and a block. He also added 11 points, six rebounds, one assist and a block on Saturday against No. 12 Calvin. Senior guard Jalen Cherry of McMurry averaged 12.3 rebounds per game over a 2-1 week for the War Hawks. The senior tallied 17 rebounds in a win over MUW while adding three blocks and had three steals in a loss to Hardin-Simmons. Cherry contributed offensively as well with 21 points in that win over MUW for a double-double and averaged 14.3 points per game.
