Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Michael Cunningham of Centenary finished ninth in the discus as he threw a 141' 7" in the Stallion Transportation Bryan Phillips Open on Saturday in Searcy, Ark. First-year Damari Rainey of Concordia (Tex.) delivered a standout performance at the War Hawk Classic, recording a personal-best mark of 6.78 meters in the long jump. Rainey’s jump placed seventh at the meet and led the Tornados in the event. In addition to his field performance, he also contributed on the track as a member of Concordia’s 4x100 relay team that posted a time of 44.97. Junior Owen Shi of Colorado College placed seventh in the shot put with a toss of 47'.25" (fourth-best in the SCAC) and 23rd in the discus at 114'1" (15th best in the SCAC), at the War Hawk Classic. Both distances were season-bests for Shi.
