Kinsey Fulks, LeTourneau University, Defensive Player of the Week (Week 4)

KINSEY FULKS OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a first-year goalkeeper from Frisco, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 15th through Sunday, September 21st. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 4)

Fulks tallied 12 saves and had one combined shutout in the YellowJackets’ 1-1 week. She had a season-high 11 saves in a 2-0 loss at Howard Payne before totaling one save in 45 minutes in a 5-0 win over MUW. Fulks’ play helped LeTourneau match its best seven-match start to a season in program history.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Sophomore midfielder Alyssa Villarreal of McMurry controlled the defensive midfield in the War Hawks 2-1 win over Howard Payne on the road last Thursday. Villarreal and the War Hawks limited Howard Payne to just three shots and two corner kicks in the win. defender Genevieve Miller of Ozarks was outstanding, playing all 90 minutes in lifting the Eagles to a 5-2 win over Lyon last Wednesday. Miller was critical in organizing the Eagles defensive effort and also jumped in offensively with a pair of goals.
