KINLEY PESSEL OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a junior from Marshall, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Monday, September 8 through Tuesday, September 9. SCAC Golf Release (Week 1)
Pessel, making her LeTourneau debut, collected her first collegiate tournament title on Tuesday as the junior carded a program-record 3-under, 69 in the final round and finished with a program record 3-under, 141, at the LeTourneau/Energy Weldfab Tempest Intercollegiate. Pessel had four birdies on Tuesday and collected six in Monday's first round. She led the LeTourneau women to their first tournament title since 2023 as the YellowJackets smashed a pair of program records. The squad shot a program-best 17-over, 305 on Tuesday to finish the 36-hole tournament with a 43-over, 619.
