KAIDEN SCHNEIDER OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a senior from Bullard, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Monday, March 30 through Tuesday, March 31. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 6)
Schneider led LeTourneau to the team title at the Pine Dunes Invitational after securing individual medalist honors after firing a three-round total of 212 (-4) to claim a six shot victory as the lone player to finish under par. Schneider finished the tournament tied for third out of 57 competitors with 11 birdies and finished tied atop the field with 37 pars after posting rounds of 68 (-4), 68 (-4) and 76 (+4).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Parker Smith of Concordia (Texas) finished tied for eighth to lead the Tornados at the Goliath Compression Invitational after posting a five-over three round score of 221, highlighted by an even-par second round of 72. Smith led the entire field with 15 birdies during the tournament. Senior Matthew McKenzie of Schreiner finished tied for 11th at the Goliath Compression Invite to led the way for the Mountaineers. McKenzie posted a three round total of 223 (+7), highlighted by a final round even-par score of 72. He finished tied atop the field with 37 pars on the week.
