HANNAH DUNSTER OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a first-year from Huntsville, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 2 through Sunday, March 8. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 2

Dunster set a program record in the long jump at 5.25 meters (17’ 2.75”) and won the event at the LeTourneau Invitational. She also cleared 1.46 meters (4’ 9.5”) in the high jump and claimed first in that event.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Gabrielle Malagarie of Centenary set a school record in the long jump (4.99) to finish as runner-up in the Ladies' season-opening meet, the LeTourneau University Invitational, on Friday. First-year Cylie Won of Concordia (Tex.) tied for third in the high jump with a leap of 1.47m, batting the wet conditions at the CenTex Invitational. The first-year's jump tied with Jane Keenan of Colorado College for the highest mark by a SCAC competitor. Sophomore Bronwyn Adams of Hendrix won the women's hammer at the Harding Invitational with a 42.48m throw. She also posted top-10 finishes in the women's shot put (11.49m) and the women's discus (38.45m). First-year Maria Bernhardt of Schreiner finished ninth in both the shot put and discus at the Southwestern Central Texas Invitational with throws of 9.56m (31'4.5 feet) for shot put and a throw of 30.60m (100'4 feet) in the discus. She also set a new school record in the discus. Sophomore Mikayla Kidney of Texas Lutheran finished fifth in the discus throw with a mark of 31.24 (102'6") and also ran on the 4 x 1 relay that finished second.
