CORBIN KING OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a junior from Lubbock, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Co-Golfer of the Week for competition played from Monday, Ocotber 6 through Tuesday, October 7. SCAC Golf Release (Week 4)
King finished tied for third to lead LeTourneau to a co team title at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational. He fired rounds of 71 (E), 69 (-2) and 71 (E) for a three-round total of 211 (-2). King was outstanding on the Par 5s, finishing the tournament tied for fourth among all competitors with a par 5 scoring average of 4.56 (-4). He finished the event tied for third with Dallas’ Iain Griggs, the top two SCAC finishers in the field.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Antonio Ramirez of St. Thomas led the way for the Celts at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational, finishing in a tie for 14th with a three-round total of 218 (+5). Ramirez’s best round came in the second when he fired a 1-under 70, highlighted by three birdies. Sophomore Tucker McDonald of Texas Lutheran finished 32nd to pace the Bulldogs at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational. McDonald finished with a three-round total of 232 (+19), highlighted by a final round score of 76.
