Pessel
picked up her third tournament title of the season and the 40th-ranked LeTourneau women's golf team opened the spring schedule with a second place finish at the Crusader Cup, hosted by University of Dallas at the Hackberry Creek Country Club. It was her third tournament title in four events on the year. 

Pessel won with a 16-over, 160 (76-84) to finish seven shots ahead of second place Kendall Ward of Our Lady of the Lake. Pessel had a round of 76 on Monday with four birdies -- including back-to-back birdies to open the round. She carded an 84 on Tuesday with a pair of birdies.

Pessel was the top player in the field in par-3 scoring (3.10), par-5 scoring (4.90, 1-under), and led the field with six birdies for the tournament.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Belle Asbury of Texas Lutheran paced the Bulldogs with a second round score of 19-over (91), to finish in fifth place at the UD Crusader Cup. The top five finish is her fourth in five tournaments during the 2025-26 season. Graduate student Madelyn Miller of Schreiner led the Mountaineers at the UD Crusader Cup finishing tied for sixth after rounds of 88 and 83 for a two-day total of 171 (+27). Her final round 83 catapulted her 11 spots up the leaderboard. Sophomore Ashleigh Bickerstaff of Dallas finished just outside the top 10, posting a two-day score of 177 (+33) - good for a tie for 11th - after rounds of 86 and 91 to pace her squad at their Crusader Cup event. Sophomore Hayley Crowder of Centenary led the Gents at the UD Crusader Cup, charting rounds of 90 and 88 to finish at 178 (+34) and tied for 13th on the individual scoreboard. First-year Katelyn Henslee of McMurry was the top finisher for the War Hawks at the UD Crusader Cup, posting rounds of 89 and 90 to finish at 179 (+35), which was good for a tie for 16th. First-year Andrea Juarez of Concordia (Texas) finished in 24th at the UD Crusader Cup - best among the Tornado golfers with rounds of 96 and 92 (188; +44).
