EMILY MULLIN OF LETOURNEAU, a first-year setter from Lancaster, Pa., has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, November 4th through Sunday, November 9th. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 11)
Mullin tallied 43 assists across a pair of matches including 22 in a sweep of Centenary. Mullin averaged 7.17 assists per set as the YellowJackets swept Centenary & Rhodes and added 10 digs and four blocks. The first-year helped her team to a .311 hitting percentage over the two matches.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
Senior setter Madison Manning of Austin College helped the 'Roos to a 3-0 week in SCAC action (3-1 overall) as she posted 79 assists across four matches. Manning averaged 5.64 assists per set and 5.82 in SCAC matches including 25 assists, seven digs and two aces in a 3-2 win over division-leading Hendrix. Sophomore setter Camden Goodman of Colorado College posted 49 assists in both five-set matches for the Tigers as they earned wins over Concordia (Tex.) & Texas Lutheran. Goodman averaged 9.80 assists per set while adding 23 digs over the two matches. Junior setter Alexis Dolton of McMurry recorded 42 assists over two matches with 24 assists in a four-set loss to Schreiner. Dolton also added 10 digs against the Mountaineers and 17 for the week. First-year setter Alyssa Carlisle of Ozarks (Ark.) totaled 30 assists across three matches with a high of 15 in a four-set win over Dallas. Carlisle also added 21 digs and three service aces. First-year setter Naomi Gamboa of Texas Lutheran posted 42 assists including 26 in a five-set loss at Colorado College. Gamboa added 17 digs with 12 against St. Thomas (Tex.).
