ANDREW REIMAN AND FERNANDO VAZQUEZ OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, have been named the SCAC Men’s Doubles Team of the Week for matches played from Friday, February 13 through Sunday, February 22. SCAC Men's Tennis Weekly Report - Week 2
Reiman, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, and Vazquez, a sophomore from Naucalpan de Juarez, Mexico, held down the top spot in doubles with a 6-1 win over Howard Payne's top duo to help LeTourneau to a 6-1 season-opening victory.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Wesley McClure and freshman James Thomson of Hendrix were the only duo to win a doubles match against Freed-Hardeman, winning the No. 1 doubles spot 6-2 against FHU's Daniel Bolivar and Benjamin Ganem. Juniors Chase Scholz and Jake Riggs of Concordia (Tex.) earned a pair of wins on line three doubles for the Tornados last weekend. The duo cruised to a 6-2 win over Fernando Andrade & Sam Rahm of Mary Hardin-Baylor to help CTX grab the doubles point. Scholz & Riggs then defeated Eliott Costa & Matis Nuziere of Our Lady of the Lake in a 6-4 decision.
