KINLEY PESSEL OF LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY, a junior from Marshall, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Monday, September 15 through Saturday, September 20. It is the second conscutive week she has earned the honor. SCAC Golf Release (Week 2)
Pessel secured her second straight individual medalist honors, firing a two round total score of 141 to win the California State Intercollegiate. She was one of just two players in the field to finish under par after two rounds, carding three under. Pessel led the field in par-4 scoring with a 3.90 scoring average, finished tied for first with eight total birdies and tied for fourth with 24 pars. He efforts helped the YellowJackets to a tied fourth-place team finish.
