CAMDEN GOODMAN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore setter from Park City, Utah, has been named SCAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played from Tuesday, October 28th through Sunday, November 2nd. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 10)
Goodman impressed again with 73 assists over a 2-0 weekend for the Tigers, averaging 10.43 assists per set. She posted 37 assists in a sweep of McMurry and 36 in a four-set win over Schreiner while adding 23 digs over the weekend. This marks her second-straight SCAC Setter of the Week honor and third of the season.
Other impressive performances in the SCAC:
First-year setter Emily Mullin of LeTourneau posted 50 assists over three matches, averaging 4.55 assists per set in a two-setter system. The YellowJackets were 3-0 on the week with a pair of sweeps in conference play as Mullin had 20 assists in a sweep of Austin College with her highest totals of the week coming in a five-set win over Howard Payne with 29 assists and 12 digs. Junior setter Alexis Dolton of McMurry recorded 63 assists over three matches with 46 coming in league play, averaging 6.30 assists per set. Dolton's best performance of the week came in a straight-sets loss to Colorado College as she totaled 27 assists, averaging 9.00 per set. Sophomore setter Jillian Childs of Ozarks (Ark.) totaled 15 assists over a pair of matches for the Eagles. Childs added seven digs as well. Junior setter Harlie Gallaspy of Schreiner had a dominant week in conference play with 87 assists across three matches for an average of 6.69 assists per set. Gallaspy's highest total came in a four-set win over St. Thomas (Tex.) putting up 37 assists while adding 22 digs over the 2-1 week. Senior setter Mia Medina of St. Thomas (Tex.) posted 46 assists over a pair of matches, averaging 5.75 assists per set. Medina added 22 digs while recording 21 assists in a loss to Schreiner and 25 in a win over McMurry. First-year setter Naomi Gamboa of Texas Lutheran recorded 46 assists over a 1-1 weekend for the Bulldogs with a high of 26 in a four-set win over Concordia (Tex.). Gamboa averaged 5.11 assists per set and added 12 digs over the two matches.
