Junior left-handed pitcher Hailey Arrington of Southwestern tossed a complete game six-hitter last week in a win over Hanover. Arrington scattered three runs and struck out three in seven innings in the win. Junior right-handed pitcher Bella Gutierrez of Trinity pitched a three-hit shutout to earn her first win as a Tiger over the weekend, salvaging a Friday afternoon split with Hanover. Gutierrez walked just two batters and allowed three hits in the complete-game effort. She leads Trinity with an ERA of 2.74, allowing six earned runs in 15.1 innings of work. Opponents are now hitting just .207 against her this season.
