CLARA LIPPERT OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Northfield, Minn., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 14 through Sunday, April 20. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 8
At the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Neb., last weekend, Lippert finished second in the 400 with a personal-best time of 57.77 seconds and joined Zaniya Bruno Munn, Emma Jones and Alina Miranda in winning the 4x100 relay in 50.15 seconds. Lippert also finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 16' 7.25".
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Grayson Shugart of Centenary had an impressive performance on Saturday in the Jim Mize Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech University in Rustin, La. The rookie earned a 13th-place finish in the 400-meters (1:05.67), finished 20th in the long jump (4.69m) and 25th in the 200 meters (27.62).
