ISABEL OLSON OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Middlebury, Vt., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 7 through Sunday, April 13. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 7

Olson broke her own school record in the 1500 meter run Friday night at the prestigious KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kansas. She finished second in the race with a time of 4:27.59, surpassing her previous record of 4:33.94, set last season. She owns the fourth-best time in Division III for the 1500 this season. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Arden Neff of Southwestern blazed to a first place finish, season's best, and new school record time of 1:01.07 in the 400 hurdles at the War Hawk Classic. Her time places her atop the SCAC for the event and third on the NCAA Division III Outdoor qualifying list. First-year Emerson Voldan of Trinity ran a new personal best int he 5k at the Carl Kight Invite with a time of 17:40.06 to place fifth overall. She also doubled back in the 800 to run a 2:19.46 to place 12th. Senior Jordyn Braxton of Schreiner competed in the 400 meter hurdles and finished 12th overall with a new school record and personal record of 1:11.15. Braxton also contributed as part of the 4x400 team which finished third overall with a new school record and time of 4:11.88. Graduate student Naj Campbell of McMurry competed in the 4x100, 100 hurdels, and 400 hurdles at the War Hawk Classic. She led off the 4x100 to a season-best performance, while also running the ninth-best time in the SCAC this season for the 400 hurdles. It was the 100 hurdles, however, where Campbell really shined as the graduate student ran 14.38, which places her atop the SCAC, third in the region, and 17th in the nation. First-year Camille McWhorter of Concordia (Texas) surged to a new PR of 16.62 in the 100 meter hurdles, and then ran a leg of the women's 4x100 relay team that earned a new season-best time of 50.39. First-year Felice Mullinax of LeTourneau set a program record in the 1500 meter event and finished 20th overall with her time of 4:54.75 at the Carl Kight Invitational, hosted by Stephen F. Austin. She also set a personal record in the 800 meters at 2:23.04 to place 23rd overall. Sophomore Alejandra Ramon of St. Thomas finished the 5000 meters at the Carl Kight Invitational with a school record time of 18:25.98, breaking the old record by 30 seconds. Junior Chloe Weathers of Ozarks achieved a personal best and set a school record of 18:15.25 in the 5000 meters at the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State University, improving upon her previous time of 18:36.54. She finished 18th out of 48 competitors, showcasing her determination and talent.
