ALISON MUELLER-HICKLER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets conducted Saturday, September 6. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 2)
Mueller-Hickler tied the Colorado College school record with her second-place finish at the UCCS Rust Buster Meet running a 17:34 5k. Mueller-Hickler, who posted CC’s best individual result ever at the Rust Buster, tied the school record set by Gretchen Grindle during the 1999 Division III Cross Country Championships. She helped her team tie its best result at the UCCS Rust Buster with a second-place team finish as the only Division III school at the meet.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Teresa Cashen of University of Dallas battled rain on the challenging University of Dallas XC Invitational course to take fourth place overall with a time of 22:58.3 in the 5k.
