With the victory, the 13th-ranked Tigers will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs. Selections will be announced May 6 with tournament play beginning the following weekend.

Trinity pulled out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play as Cameron Krimbill and Artur Zigman notched the first win of the day, taking an 8-2 victory at line two doubles to improve to 10-5 on the season. Wilson Lambeth and Jordan Pitts made it 2-0 Trinity with their eighth consecutive victory, improving their doubles record to 16-3 this season. After trailing their match early, Wilson Hamilton and Christian Settles fought back and prevailed in an 8-7 (7-5) tiebreaker to finish off the sweep, giving the duo an overall record of 12-3 as a team this season. Southwestern held a 5-4 lead in the tiebreak before Hamilton and Settles rattled off three straight points to take the match.

The Tigers won the first set in all four singles matches that took the court after doubles, but it was Krimbill who was first off the board at line three, and Hamilton gave TU the clincher at line four with a 6-4, 6-2 victory to move to 10-11 this season.

In addition to the 10th straight conference title, Trinity's men's tennis team has now won 24 overall SCAC Championships, which is the most of any sport in conference history.

Head Coach Russell McMindes has led Tigers to the SCAC title in each of his 10 seasons at the helm of the Trinity men's program.

Trinity will await opening round selections to determine matchups, times and location for the NCAA playoffs.
